Bridging Technology, Sustainability, and Spirit
Angel Matilla, IT Manager at GEN Europe, recently participated in two thought-provoking webinars that explored the intersection of technology, sustainability, and our relationship with the living world.
FOSS – The Future of Sustainability
As part of the Ecoprise project, in which GEN Europe is a partner, a webinar was held on 4 November at 17:00 CET to discuss how Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) can shape a fairer future. Drawing on his expertise in FOSS, sustainability, and innovation, Angel explored how open technologies can drive sustainable entrepreneurship and create more equitable digital ecosystems.

Tech, Spirit & Earth: Navigating Technology with Awareness and Integrity
Angel also participated in the closing panel of Tech in Transition, a series by Transition Network. Alongside Wakanyi Hoffman, Dennise Dueñas, and Nicole Civita, he explored the question: What is the relationship between technology, spirit, and the Earth?
As technology continues to shape how we live, create, and connect, this conversation delved into how earth-based practices, collective awareness, and ancestral wisdom can guide our relationship with emerging technologies. The panel reflected on moving forward with integrity, balance, and care for all that sustains us—bridging the digital and the ancestral.

Both sessions offer valuable insights for anyone interested in conscious technology use, sustainable innovation, and the deeper dimensions of our digital lives. Learn more about Ethical Digital Culture here!
