Young people play a vital role in the ecovillage movement, and we are committed to supporting the next generation of ecovillagers!
GEN Europe has a thriving youth network that offers opportunities for young people to experience ecovillage living for the first time, connect others with similar interests, learn skills for community living, and much more. Find out how you can get involved in the ecovillage movement as a young person here!
NextGEN Europe is the youth branch of GEN Europe. It connects young people with ecovillage education, projects, opportunities and regenerative living practices. NextGEN runs youth sharing circles, youth events, and supports national youth ecovillage networks that bring like-minded young people together in their own countries. As a young person, it’s your way into the ecovillage world!
Yes to Sustainability
Yes to Sustainability is a network of young people and youth workers whose aim is to bring together young people in ecovillages and sustainable projects in Europe.
Through Yes to Sustainability you can find opportunities for youth exchanges (funded experiences in ecovillages and sustainable projects) and youth worker trainings.
European Solidarity Corps
The European Solidarity Corps is the European Union initiative that creates opportunities for young people between the ages of 18 and 30 to volunteer or work in projects in their own country or abroad. It provides an opportunity to join meaningful work and experiential learning while your food, accommodation, travelling, pocket money, insurance, and mentorship are provided. GEN Europe and many European ecovillages offer ESC opportunities, and it’s a fantastic way to learn valuable skills while experiencing life inside an ecovillage.
