GEN Book Club: Envisioning the post-collapse society
The GEN Book Club: Envisioning the post-collapse Society, is happening July 23rd 2024, 4-5.30 pm CEST online!
GEN International and GEN Europe are weaving in their efforts to bring you an open space for reflection, discussion and contemplation, an imaginative journey on how we can create our future together. What is the future of the economic systems and how will the issue of wealth distribution unravel? Can we imagine the international framework and politics of the post-collapse world? What will be the role of communities and regenerative agriculture? Is collapse inevitable? How to activate the hope? If you are contemplating these questions yourself and seeking to share your thoughts – you are in the right place.
The driving force of our session is the new inspiring book by Ross Jackson: “The Bad News and the Good News: The Economics of Collapse and The Birth of a Regenerative Society”. Selected chapters of the book will be the starting points of our reflections, discussion and common sharing moderated by Eva Goldfarb of GEN International and Maja Flajsig of GEN Europe. Furthermore, we are honoured to announce a special guest at our Book Club: the writer of the book, acclaimed author, philanthropist and innovative leader Ross Jackson will join our session for a brief interview, available for your questions.
After registration, you will be provided with a Zoom registration link and selected book chapters.
Registration for the BookClub is required. If you can’t attend on the day, all participants will be sent a recording after the event.
