Community of Farkha Launches Global Crowdfunding Campaign
🌿 For years, community in Farkha, Palestine, has been proving that caring for the land is one of the strongest forms of resilience.
Despite land confiscation, settler violence, restrictions on farmers, and increasing pressure on their community, they continue to grow food, restore threatened farmland, revive traditional agriculture, and strengthen local food sovereignty through volunteerism and collective action.
Together, they have:
🌱 Expanded home gardens from 90 to more than 230 families.
🌾 Brought dozens of young farmers back to cultivating wheat, barley, and animal fodder.
🌿 Protected agricultural land through collective volunteer work.
💧 Restored and protected community water springs.
🏛 Begun reviving Farkha’s historic Old Town, where they are completing the restoration of a historic house that will soon open as Farkha Children’s Cultural Center a space where children can reconnect with Palestinian heritage, culture, and identity.
None of this has happened because they are a large organization.
It has happened because hundreds of volunteers, friends, and supporters around the world believed that communities can build their own future through solidarity.
