GATHERING HOST 2024 AND 2025
Does your community want to host the European Ecovillage Gathering in 2024 or 2025? We are now open for host applications!
Dear friends and members! Our beloved ecovillage Gathering travels to a new host community every year. We are now opening applications for communities interested in hosting the Gathering in 2024 and in 2025. We will run the selection process for both years in parallel. If your community would like to host the Gathering in one of the next two years, please send in this application before April 10th.
Before applying
In the application we will ask you to write why you would like to host the Gathering, confirm that your community would be able to live up to our standard contractual obligations (link in application form), price estimates for food and accommodation, estimation of capacity and other background information. Before submitting the application, please ensure that you can live up to the requirements for applying (see below).
Requirements
We are looking for host communities that can live up to the following requirements:
- Min. 10 workshop spaces (indoor or outdoor incl. tents)
- Min. max. capacity of 400 guests
- Min. 25 indoor sleeping spaces (the more the better) or an equivalent available in a nearby village
- Kitchen, hygiene, water and toilet capacity for the max. capacity of participants
- Min. 100 available parking spaces
Selection process
After the deadline the Gathering working group will make a pre-selection of candidates and a final decision will be made at the General Assembly in Nature Community on July 8-11th for both hosting the Gathering in 2024 and 2025. If your community is selected as one of the pre-selected candidates we might contact you for additional information and/or might ask you to have a meeting prior to the GA.
