The Ecovillage of Pourgues wins the 2025 Social and Solidarity Tourism Prize

During the RESILIENT competition awards ceremony, held at the Blagnac City Hall and organized by the Open Tourisme Lab, the Ecovillage of Pourgues was honored among dozens of inspiring initiatives promoting more sustainable and human-centered tourism.

This recognition highlights the ecovillage’s commitment to offering a cooperative, inclusive, and profoundly human tourism experience.

The award was received with great pride, alongside other innovative projects that share a vision for a different way of traveling. The team at Pourgues extends its gratitude to the Open Tourisme Lab, La Région Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée, the Regional Tourism Committee and Vincent Garel, Banque Populaire du Sud, ADEME Occitanie, and all partners supporting the RESILIENT competition.

Congratulations also go out to all the other winners. Together, these projects demonstrate that a different kind of tourism—rooted in local communities and guided by human values—is not only possible, but increasingly desired and recognized.

The adventure continues in Le Fossat, with renewed energy and determination. A heartfelt thank-you to all those who believe in and support this collective, living initiative.
