Six new EU-funded projects join GEN Europe’s portfolio!
We’re delighted to share that six new EU-funded projects have been approved and have just started or are starting soon, and are going to shape our work over the coming years, spanning rural innovation, soil health, eco-emotions, digital skills, peacebuilding and community finance.
Horizon Europe
RUDI (Rural Innovation to Address Demographic and Climate Challenges, started June 2026): builds rural innovation clusters and living labs across eight countries, with GEN Europe leading dissemination and communication.
SOILSTICE (started September 2026, coordinated by ECOLISE): co-creates Territorial Management Agreements for soil health with municipalities and citizens, with GEN Europe contributing on community-led capacity building.
Erasmus+
PACE (Peacebuilding through Anti-oppression in Community-based Education, started September 2026, coordinated by GEN Europe in collaboration with Yes to Sustainability): brings anti-oppression and peacebuilding practice into youth exchanges hosted in ecovillages.
ECHO (Eco-emotions, Collective Horizons and Opportunities, starting November 2026): researches how eco-emotions shape young people’s participation and learning, turning the findings into practical tools for youth workers.
Free IT (starting November 2026): strengthens digital skills and digital sovereignty among adult educators and network coordinators, with an open, multilingual toolkit on free and open-source tools.
COFFEE (Community Finance Facilitator Education in Ecovillages, starting December 2026, coordinated by GEN Europe): trains Community Finance Facilitators to support ethical, non-speculative finance for community-led housing.
