€45,000 Available for Ecovillages Developing Energy Projects — and You Probably Qualify

Many ecovillages have assumed that energy community funding wasn't for them. It is. The European Energy Communities Facility is offering a €45,000 lump-sum grant to help communities develop a business plan for a renewable energy project — and if your community collectively manages any form of renewable energy, you may already meet the EU legal definition of an energy community. The call is open until 5 July 2026 to communities across all 27 EU Member States and several neighbouring countries.
