All the following quantities have been calculated based on GEN Europe’s own costs and time and they are meant to cover hosting, maintenance and support costs. They are merely orientative and our ultimate goal is to provide our members with reliable, open-source, self-hosted services. So even in case you cannot meet our recommended donation, please contact us and we’ll find a solution together.

Rocket Chat is free for GEN Europe Working Groups.
For all other purposes we kindly ask for a donation of 1€/user/month for small groups up to 10 people and 10€/month for larger groups up to 50 people. This donation is meant to cover hosting, maintenance and support costs. In case there are requests for larger groups the recommended donation amount could be tailored.
The service includes the possibility of creating multiple private channels and participate from the GEN EU public ones.
Currently there is a cap of 10000 free push notifications/month. In case this limit is reached the recommended donations might change accordingly.

Open Project is free for GEN Europe Working Groups.
For all other purposes we kindly ask for a donation of 1-4€/user/month on a sliding scale.
In case there are requests for larger groups the recommended donation amount could be tailored.
The sliding scale is meant to adapt to all needs, as we are aware that ecovillages and national networks have different economical situations.
The service includes the possibility of creating multiple projects.
The instance deployed in GEN Europe servers is the Community Edition.

Nextcloud is free for GEN Europe Working Groups.
For all other purposes we kindly ask for a donation based on your usage.
In case there are requests for larger groups the recommended donation amount could be tailored.

  • Basic user: The service includes a cloud space of 1GB per person. Recommended donation: 2€/month
  • Advanced user: The service includes a cloud space of 15GB per person. Recommended donation: 6€/month
  • Pro user: The service includes a cloud space of 30GB per person. Recommended donation: 10€/month
  • Shared group folder: The service includes a cloud space of 50GB to be shared by a group. Recommended donation: 15€/month
