Group Facilitation & Sociocracy Training in Sunny Hill Ecovillage

Join “Group Facilitation & Sociocracy” to make decision-making in your group more inclusive, clear, and fast. You’ll practice facilitation that brings more voices into the room and explore sociocratic structures—circles, roles, and feedback loops—that keep collaboration transparent and participatory. The methods are tried and tested in ecovillages and sustainable communities and translate seamlessly to civil society groups, community initiatives, and public sector teams.

About the trainer

Steffen Emrich is a trainer, facilitator, and consultant specialized in sociocracy and community development, bringing decades of experience in organizational change and collaborative living. With a background as a certified Sociocratic Facilitator and trainer and with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Steffen has dedicated his career to helping groups transition to more effective, equitable, and sustainable decision-making models. He works primarily with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), common good-oriented enterprises, and intentional communities across Europe and globally.

Steffen’s expertise is deeply rooted in practical experience. He has lived in communal settings for most of his life, including being a long-term resident of the gASTWERKe community in Germany. This hands-on understanding informs his consulting work in process facilitation, and organizational development.
