Can we live in a way that meets our needs while protecting the precious gifts of the natural world for future generations? 

Ecovillages are constantly innovating to help reduce the environmental impact humans and human settlements have on the environment. We support communities and individuals to live more socially, economically, and ecologically sustainable lives with tools and projects developed through funded partnerships.


BLOOM is a European Horizon 2020 funded project which involves 12 partners from 8 European countries and runs from 2017-2020. The project is coordinated by the Centre for Social Innovation, ZSI, in Vienna. 

Through five regional hubs, each focusing on different fields of bioeconomy, the project will raise awareness and enhance knowledge on the bioeconomy amongst European citizens. To find out more about the bioeconomy and its potential, visit

Community Sustainability Assessment Toolkit (CSA)

Resilient Approaches to Living Sustainably (REALS)
