European Day of Sustainable Communities September 23 2017

September 23rd marks the first ever European Day of Sustainable Communities.

The day celebrates and highlights the work of all those involved in local, community-led action on climate change and sustainability: from ecovillages to Transition Towns, from community supported agriculture projects to urban gardens, thousands of communities across Europe are writing the blueprint for sustainable living from the ground up.

Ecovillages are at the forefront of the transition to a more human and environmentally sustainable way of living - so the day is the perfect moment to share the wisdom, knowledge and experience of ecovillages with our wider communities. Why not run an event, or find out what's happening near you on the events map?

The European Ecovillage Conference 2018 The wisdom of conscious communities

What can we learn from conscious communities? How can we apply this wisdom in the wider world, and within ourselves?

These are just some of the questions we will explore at the 2018 European Ecovillage Conference, inspired by the beautiful surroundings of Lilleoru community, Estonia.

Under the theme of The Wisdom of Conscious Communities, the conference will will focus on the knowledge and tools that support conscious development and the practical application of awareness to effect inner change, in order that we might change the world around us.

After the success of 2017’s conference - our biggest yet - we are already looking ahead with great excitement to 2018! You are warmly invited to be part of this co-created experience of exploration, celebration and connection. Stay tuned for more news and announcements here and at gen2018.ee
