BLOOM Communications Officer
We are seeking a web-savvy and well-organised communications professional to help deliver the Horizon2020 BLOOM project on bioeconomy. The ideal candidate will have an interest in science and innovation, and experience using graphic design and video editing software.

Managing project website and social media accounts; creating social media content (posts, create graphics, etc)
Researching case studies and creating materials (digital/physical) to showcase examples of the bioeconomy in action
Creating and managing database of relevant digital and traditional media publications; write press releases and pitch to relevant outlets stories related to the bioeconomy and BLOOM’s activities
Identifying potential bioeconomy ambassadors (social entrepreneurs, academics, media…) and potential partner networks and organisations
Creating flyers and information packages around BLOOM and the bioeconomy for dissemination at events
Creating and maintaining the BLOOM mailing list, collating stories and compiling monthly newsletter
Supporting the promotion and delivery of BLOOM outreach events
The ideal candidate will be:
Experienced in writing for different mediums and audiences: social media, press releases, briefings etc.
Comfortable converting technical language into engaging, accessible content
Familiar with graphic design software (Adobe Suite) and video editing
Highly organised and comfortable working on complex multi-stakeholder projects
Knowledgeable of and interested in sustainability and the European science and innovation ecosystem
This is a part-time role for 60 hours per month
The role may be based at GEN Europe’s offices in Arterra Bizimodu community, Spain, or remotely (with some travel required to project meetings)
The position will start at the end of April 2018 and run for 18 months, with the possibility of extension
