Aili's Blog : 3. December
Friday (December 3nd(, on the other hand, was fantastic. An event that ended up being a very pleasant surprise, and very uplifting, namely, “The Climate Change Communication Forum”, co-chaired by the Government of Mexico and the Pew Center on Global Climate Change (conceptualised by Simon Anholt). The event took place at the Grand Velas Hotel, and was set for a capacity of about 500 participants, and by the end of the day, was pretty much full capacity.
The event was brilliant. Not only was the topic a new, important, and intriguing one (talked about far too little in official circles), but the venue was also one that enabled just the right amount of people to interact, for there to be meaningful discussion as well as Questions and Answers, and comfortable mingling in between the panels and presentations (something hard to attain at the Moon Palace, for instance).
